The openings are strictly due to new facility being built.
Small group of 9 MD's and 6 CRNA's.
Facility is receptive to new grads. If you are a new grad and looking for a great place to work and an excellent variety of cases, this is a very cool place for you!!
6 OR’s with capability to expand to 10.
Independent work environment – Docs are not there during inductions or emergents. If the CRNA is comfortable with case, Docs do not stand over them. If the CRNA needs assistance, MD is there to assist.
Case mixture: all case load except transplants and sick peds. There is a Children’s Hospital in town that takes the sick peds). Cardiac: Approximately 200 cases/year.
Call: CRNAs will take either 2nd call/back up call: Call fee to carry beeper has not been established at this time. In addition to receiving a fee to carry beeper, any call backs will be paid at time and ½. Right now, call ratio will be approximately 1:6.
Call will be taken from home.
Starting salary for a new grad is $140,000 (higher with experience) plus overtime plus call pay!
4 weeks vacation
1 week continue education plus allowance
Retirement: hospital contributes $10,000/year (wow!)
Majority of medical insurance premium is paid by hospital
