This 3 MDA/5 CRNA group, who serves a 140 bed population hospital, seeks to add a CRNA to join their team due to expansion. This congenial group, doesn't have to work hard for the money. Typical day is 7am to usually 1 or 2. Bread & Butter Caseload, must know how to do epidurals. Call is 1:6 from home unless someone is on vacation, then it's 1:5-Day off after call. CRNA's push their own drugs and are involved in initial treatment planning. Compensation might seem low, especially for a new grad, however you WILL earn a bonus annually (amount is undetermined at this time). Great way to pay off student loans!! Average call pay is 30K, OT is 10K. If you add that all up, a new grad can make almost 200K, even more for the experienced. Guaranteed. Fabulous benefits include, family insurance paid at 100%, 5 weeks vacation, 1 wk CME ($2,500), long term disability, pension (after Jan '10)/profit sharing 13-14% totaling 20-24K/yr.
This family friendly community has highly rated schools for the state. You can't possibly imagine getting bored here. There is a nearby ski resort and river boat gambling. If you are the outdoors type, you can golf, fish, water ski, hike and camp. Chicago is 3 hours away, Madison 1.5 hrs, and Minneapolis 4.5 hrs. Amongst all the flooding lately in Iowa, this community, in eastern Iowa, and surrounding area did NOT get flooded. This is a great place to raise a family and enjoy life.
