Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – VA Medical Center Clarksburg, WV

The Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV, is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide onsite anesthesia services to Veterans.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide anesthesia care for surgical procedures at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center
Ensure safe administration of anesthesia before, during, and after procedures
Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and medical staff to ensure patient safety
Be onsite during surgery hours (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) and available for consultation
Provide on-call coverage (at least 4 evening shifts and 1 weekend per month)
Respond to emergency pages within 60 minutes when medically indicated
Maintain current certifications (BLS, ACLS) and comply with VA credentialing and privileging requirements
Adhere to OSHA, CDC, and VA infection control guidelines
Complete required continuing medical education (CME) and VA-mandated training

Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted CRNA license in any U.S. state, territory, or DC
Board Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Credentialing & Privileging approval required before providing services
Technical Proficiency in anesthesia procedures and English fluency
Compliance with VA educational, training, and medical testing requirements (e.g., TB, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, OSHA bloodborne pathogen training)
DEA registration (if required) and National Provider Identifier (NPI)

Additional Requirements:
Maintain continuing medical education (CME) and report hours for tracking
Comply with OSHA, CDC, and VA regulations for infection control
Adhere to VA clinic wait time policies and consult completion guidelines
Must meet citizenship and legal work authorization requirements

Work Schedule:
Regular Surgery Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday – Friday)
Normal Business Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
On-Call Coverage:
At least 4 evening shifts per month
At least 1 weekend per month
Must be available for phone consultations with VA residents and CRNAs
Must respond to emergency pages within 60 minutes when medically indicated
Off-Hours & Holiday Coverage: As needed, based on the VA's requirements
