Ongoing CRNA Locums Assignment – Consistent Schedule + Post-Call Days Off

Assignment Length: Ongoing (through August 2026)
Location: Eastern Iowa (Dubuque metro area)

Position Overview
A hospital-based anesthesia program in eastern Iowa is seeking a locum tenens CRNA for ongoing coverage while the facility continues its permanent recruitment efforts. The site will consider multiple CRNAs to collectively fulfill a full-time schedule.
This is an independent CRNA practice with a diverse case mix and structured call coverage.

Schedule & Coverage
20 shifts per month
Regular day shifts: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weeknight call: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Post-call day off provided
Weekend shifts: 24-hour call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule flexibility available using multiple providers if needed

Hospital-based practice
Level II Trauma Center
Independent CRNA model
Supportive anesthesia team environment

Case Mix
General anesthesia
OB (including epidurals)
Regional anesthesia / blocks
No cardiac cases
No neuro cases

Patient Population
~85% adult / geriatric
~15% pediatric / adolescent
Volume
Approximately 5–15 cases per shift, depending on case type and daily volume
EMR
Cerner

Credentialing
Average timeframe: ~30 days
Temporary privileges available with clean background and malpractice history
Active, unrestricted Iowa CRNA license required

Requirements
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Active Iowa license
ACLS & PALS required

Board certification required
Ability to practice independently
Two professional references required
