CRNA Locum Opportunity – Level 1 Trauma Center | Kentucky
We are seeking an experienced CRNA for a locum tenens assignment at a Level 1 trauma center in Kentucky, with a flexible start date beginning August 17, 2026. This is a 13-week contract with strong potential for extension, offering a consistent full-time schedule in a high-acuity hospital setting.
The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, typically starting at 7:00 AM and ending at 5:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The facility is particularly interested in candidates who are open to 10:00 AM start times as well. Providers must be able to commit to working at least two weeks per month.
This is a medically directed environment where CRNAs work alongside anesthesiologists, residents, and anesthesia technicians. The typical supervision model ranges from 2:1 to 4:1 depending on case acuity, with anesthesiologists often focused on rooms involving residents. Daily case volume varies, generally ranging from one to nine cases per day, and the patient population includes all ages except neonatal.
CRNAs will be involved in a wide range of cases including orthopedic, trauma, vascular, and neuro procedures, with no cardiac or OB cases required. Providers should be comfortable working in NORA settings and performing skills such as intubation, central line placement, arterial lines, and other line placements. Regional blocks are not typically required.
The facility utilizes Epic for charting and operates within a large academic medical center environment. Candidates must have at least one year of experience, with a strong preference for those who have worked in large hospital systems and have prior Level 1 trauma experience. Board certification (NBCRNA) is required, and a Kentucky license is needed, though the facility is open to assisting with licensing.
This is a great opportunity for CRNAs looking to work in a dynamic, team-oriented, and high-acuity setting with consistent scheduling and extension potential.
