Position Overview
We are seeking CRNAs for a scheduled, no-call opportunity at a large academic medical center. This role offers exceptional flexibility and will consider new graduate CRNAs, part-time providers, and local candidates seeking adaptable schedules.
Assignment Details
Start Date: May 4, 2026
Coverage Type: Scheduled shifts only (No call, no weekends)
Shifts Available: Day, Swing, and Night
Schedule: Standard
Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time (flexible)
Schedule & Shift Options
The facility is seeking providers willing to work extended shifts, with flexibility on start and end times:
12-hour shifts: 6:30am – 7:00pm
13-hour shifts: 6:30am – 8:00pm
14-hour shifts: 6:30am – 9:00pm
16-hour shifts: 6:30am – 11:00pm
Providers interested in 5×8s or 4×10s may be considered for midday or night shifts only.
Practice Setting
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital / Academic Medical Center
Primary Locations: Main Campus and OSU East
Trauma Level: Adult Level I–IV
Care Model: Medically directed anesthesia care team
Physician-to-CRNA ratios of 1:2 or 1:3
Call Requirement: None
Weekend Requirement: None
Clinical Scope
CRNAs will support a wide range of surgical and procedural services, including but not limited to:
Surgical Services
Neuro spine & neuro cranial
General surgery
ENT & oral/maxillofacial
Urology & gynecology
Trauma, critical care, burn
Orthopedic trauma & spine
Oncology
Vascular
Kidney & pancreas transplant
Colorectal & bariatric
Ophthalmology & hand surgery
Procedural Services
Endoscopy
Interventional radiology
Bronchoscopy
CT & MRI
Radiation oncology
Dental
Low-acuity EP lab
Locum CRNAs are not required to perform OB or open-heart cases.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive pre-operative patient assessments
Develop and implement anesthetic care plans
Monitor and manage patients throughout anesthesia
Respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies
Perform airway management and emergency intubation
Administer medications necessary for resuscitation
Operate anesthesia equipment safely and effectively
Collaborate with MDAs, surgeons, and clinical staff
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and case reviews
Professional Development
Attend AANA-accredited CME meetings
Participate in departmental case management discussions
Requirements
CRNA certification (NBCRNA)
Active or eligible Ohio licensure
New graduate CRNAs will be considered
ACLS and BLS required
Ability to work extended shifts (12–16 hours preferred)
