CRNA Locum Opportunity – Columbus, OH

Job description

We are seeking experienced CRNAs only for a locum tenens opportunity in Columbus, Ohio. This is a great opportunity to work within a large academic health system offering diverse and complex case exposure.

🚨 Requirements

Minimum 1 year experience as a practicing CRNA

Must be comfortable working in a medically directed care team model (1:2 or 1:3 ratio)

Must have experience in required skillsets (see below)


📅 Schedule


Client prefers providers willing to work 12, 14, or 16-hour shifts

5x8s or 4x10s available for night or midday shifts

No call required

No weekends

Open to part-time providers

Flexible scheduling, especially for local providers


🏥 Practice Setting

Locums will primarily work at the Main Campus and affiliated hospital locations, covering a broad range of surgical and procedural service lines.

Surgical Services Include:

Neuro spine & neuro crani

General surgery

ENT

Oral maxillofacial

Urology

Gynecology

Trauma/critical care/burn

Ortho trauma & spine

Oncology

Vascular

Kidney/pancreas transplant (no liver, heart, or lung)

Colorectal & bariatric

Ophthalmology

Hands

Procedural Areas Include:

Endoscopy

Interventional radiology

Bronchoscopy

CT

Radiation oncology

MRI

Dental

Some low-acuity EP lab

✅ Preferred / Required Skillset Experience

General – high experience

Neuro – moderate to high

Urology, ENT, Endo – moderate to high

Transplant (kidney/pancreas only) – moderate to high

Ophthalmology – moderate

Arterial lines – moderate to high

Vascular, Thoracic, Trauma, Burns – limited to moderate acceptable

Central lines – limited to no experience acceptable


🩺 Duties & Responsibilities

95% Clinical Practice

Comprehensive perioperative assessments

Develop and implement anesthesia care plans

Emergency airway management & resuscitation (ACLS/CPR)

Manage anesthetized patients using appropriate techniques

Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams

Participate in quality improvement initiatives


5% Professional Development

Attend AANA-accredited CME meetings

Participate in department case management reports
