Description
We are seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for a float pool assignment starting May 10, 2026. This role offers exposure to a wide range of surgical specialties including trauma, cardiac, neuro/spine, vascular, OB/GYN, pediatrics, plastics, ortho, and robotics. CRNAs will practice under a 1:3 medical direction model (max 1:4) and provide patient-centered anesthesia care across multiple procedural areas.
About the Facility
Hospital is a 593-bed, Level I Trauma-designated teaching hospital in Pennsylvania, delivering complex surgical and procedural care. CRNAs collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and specialty clinicians in a hospital setting, providing high-quality care across multiple operative locations including NORA suites.
Compensation:
• Hourly Rate: $250/hr
• Travel/lodging may be considered for non-local candidates
• Full-time coverage with 4–5 10-hour shifts per week
Job Responsibilities:
• Administer GETA, MAC, regional, spinal, and US-guided anesthesia techniques
• Perform epidurals independently (CRNAs cannot perform blocks)
• Provide anesthesia across trauma, neuro/spine, cardiac, thoracic, vascular, OB/GYN, GI, • • pediatric, plastics, ortho, and robotic cases
• Document care in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with the care team to manage complex patient populations
Qualifications:
• Board Certified CRNA (NBCRNA)
• Active Pennsylvania CRNA license (willing to license if needed)
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS
• Minimum 2 years of anesthesia experience preferred
• Experience with hospital-based anesthesia preferred
Working Hours:
• Monday–Friday 6:15–16:45, 6:30–16:30, or 7:00–17:00
• Some weekend or evening coverage may be required (7p–7a)
• 4–5 shifts per week (10 hours each)
• No mandatory call outside scheduled shifts
Skills:
• General, regional, spinal, and MAC anesthesia
• US-guided anesthesia techniques
• GETA administration
• Epidural anesthesia without physician present
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Ability to manage complex and diverse patient populations
