Anesthesiologist – Contract Position (26+ Weeks)

Details
Contract Length: 26+ weeks
Location: Multiple sister facilities across the Bay Area
Schedule: Full-time preferred; minimum 2 weeks/month
Patient Population: Adults & adolescents (13+)
Setting: Hospital OR + Ambulatory Surgery Centers
Will predominantly work solo in the operating room, only occasionally overseeing CRNAs

Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services for a mix of inpatient and outpatient surgical cases
- Independently manage OR cases; occasional oversight of CRNAs
- Perform general anesthesia and, when applicable, regional anesthesia
- Float between multiple sister facilities based on coverage needs
- Support high-acuity inpatient centers and ambulatory surgery centers
- Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation
- Case Exclusions: No cardiac, liver, or neuro cases.

Required Experience
Minimum 2–3+ years of recent anesthesiology practice
Experience with both inpatient and outpatient surgical cases
Recent solo practice experience required
Experience in tertiary care centers
Comfort with high-acuity patients (ASA 3+) strongly preferred
Regional anesthesia experience preferred (case-by-case consideration)

Department description:
Hospital OR coverage, typically only takes on general cases, on occasion regional cases as well.

• 26 week contract
• 8-10 hour shifts / 40+ hour weeks
• Coverage needed: 2 weeks per month, Full time option avaliable
