About the clinician's workday

This site operates under a Care Team Model with a fully staffed team of 6 MDs and 12.7 CRNAs, typically using 3 MDs and 7 CRNAs daily. The practice setting is directional, and there are 8 points of service handling a wide range of cases, including General Surgery, Dental/Oral Maxillofacial, Endoscopy, ENT, OB/GYN, Neuro, Spine, Orthopedic, Plastics, Urology, Cardiac (CABG, valve replacement excluding TAVR), Thoracic/Pulmonology, Bronchoscopy, Major Vascular, Cardioversions, TEE, and Central Venous Access procedures. Scheduling follows a release order system with common shifts of 5x8 hours, averaging 40 hours per week. Holiday coverage includes 1 CRNA in-house and 2 MDs on home call. Call is required for both MDs and CRNAs, including locums, with a 30-minute radius and post-call day off; weekend call mirrors weekday call. Credentialing takes 60-90 days, and temporary privileges are available. Charting is paper-based, and the site is new-grad friendly.
